Gary the Gull knows the skies, streets, and harbour of St Andrews better than anyone.
Practical, bold, and fiercely loyal to his friends, Gary is the one who’s always ready to step in when something needs fixing or sorting out. He might grumble a little along the way, but there’s no one more dependable when the gang needs help.
Gary also keeps an eye on the town’s busy coastline, where he leads his lively group of gull friends — known as the McGulligans.
Recently, Gary has taken on an important role helping people understand how humans and gulls can live happily side by side. Through a special awareness campaign, he reminds everyone that keeping towns tidy and protecting wildlife helps both people and animals.
After all, Gary believes that looking after the place you live is everyone’s job.
